Who am I?
My name is Geraldine, but I like people to call me 'G'.
I come from over 30 years of nursing background and wish to enable people to continue to live their best lives by being comfortable.
On leaving the nursing profession I wanted to be able to remain 'caring' for people.
I qualified at the SMAE Institute in Maidenhead in 2017 and I am registered with the British Association of Foot Health Professionals.
In my role I help you to maintain good foot health and be as free from pain as possible, so that you can continue to enjoy life. I can treat people living with diabetes too. Providing routine foot care helps to prevent future problems.
I cover Stourbridge DY8 and surrounding areas and come to your house at a time to suit you.

FIRST CONSULTATION
Your first appointment will involve taking a brief medical history and medication being taken. I am often asked why I need these details. You may be taking certain medications such as blood thinners and I sometimes need to use a scalpel during treatment, so this is very important to know.
All information aids me in providing the basis of your treatment needs.
I will examine your feet and lower limbs, check your pulses and perform a Neurovascular assessment. ( This gives an idea of how the circulation is in your lower limbs and feet, which is extremely important for people living with diabetes).
From this I will provide the service you require.
If I cannot help you at this time, I have links with local Podiatrists who will be able to help you.

Antiseptic techniques are always maintained.
Any sharps used are single use and disposed in a clinical sharps bin.
All instruments are thoroughly washed, ultrasound cleaned and sterilised in an autoclave prior to use on every patient.
Regular CPD courses (Continuing Professional Development) are undertaken to keep up to date with current procedures and techniques.
